MOSCOW - The United Nations special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, will visit Moscow for talks on Feb. 16, RIA news agency quoted Russia's foreign ministry as saying on Tuesday.

"During de Mistura's Moscow visit, discussion will focus on forming a unified delegation of the Syrian opposition for the talks in Geneva," the ministry said.

A new round of U.N.-backed peace talks on the Syrian conflict are due to begin in Geneva next week.
