Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Saturday blamed the Palestinian Authority for the stall in the peace process, and said the US was aware that Israel was interested in resuming negotiations. "Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would like to advance the peace process and resume negotiations with the Palestinian Authority and US President [Barack Obama] is aware of this," Sa'ar said at a conference in Ramat Gan. The minister went on to explain that the peace process had not yet been resumed because of what he called "Palestinian stubbornness" and internal Palestinian politics.
