Police are investigating a reported shooting at a New Mexico middle school, saying they have a suspect in custody but no details on whether anyone was injured in the Tuesday morning incident.

Berrendo Middle School in Roswell, New Mexico is on lockdown, according to a post around 8 a.m. MT on the Roswell Police Department Facebook page.

No details were available on the incident, the suspect, or any potential injuries.

A dispatcher with the Roswell police said the initial report came from the Chaves County Sheriff's Office, but officials there could not be reached early Tuesday.
