Sea of Galilee water levels rise due to heavy downpours

In wake of the torrential downpours across Israel in the past few days the water levels of the Sea of Galilee rose 1 cm.
Due to the extended drought and lack of rainfall, the body of water is still lacking 4.99 meters of water in order to return to full capacity.
Large amounts of water fell over the central region of Israel: 130 mm at Ben Gurion International Airport, 120 mm in the Rishon Letzion area.
