A synagogue in Seattle was defaced overnight Thursday by vandals, the Seattle Times reported.

Spray-painted text reading"The Holocaust is fake history" was discovered by a police officer Friday morning.

Rabbi Daniel Weiner of Temple De Hirsch Sinai said “It really is a toxic mix of Holocaust denial, the stereotypical charge that Jews are obsessed with money, and the notion coming from the (President Trump) administration that all facts are fungible … fake facts, fake history.”

Seattle police are investigation the vandalism in connection to a hate crime.
