Second Saudi office of TV station shut after sex talk

Saudi authorities have closed the second and last operating office of a Lebanese TV station which broadcast an interview with a Saudi man who spoke frankly about sex, authorities said Tuesday. Abdul-Rahman al-Hazza, the spokesman of the Ministry of Culture and Information, told The Associated Press that the Riyadh office of the Lebanese-based LBC satellite station was closed Monday because of the July 15 program. The closure came two days after authorities shut down LBC's other bureau in the western city of Jiddah. The Saudi man, Mazen Abdul-Jawad, was detained July 31 for questioning. The interview shocked many in this conservative country where such frank talk is rarely heard in public.
