The Defense Ministry was planning to carry out security exercises near the Bekaa Checkpoint in the Jordan Valley Monday evening. Residents of the area and those traveling on Highway 90 should expect to hear explosions and shooting between the hours of 6 p.m. and midnight, the ministry said.

Additionally, portions of Highway 90 will be closed a number of times for no longer than 15 minutes.
