Security forces led by the Shin Bet domestic intelligence agency arrested a Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative in the West Bank village of Kabatia overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, on suspicion of plotting a shooting attack on an IDF checkpoint near the settlement of Mavo Dotan.

The suspect, 27, allegedly was in touch with Palestinian Islamic Jihad headquarters operatives in the Gaza Strip. Elsewhere n the West Bank, Nahal Brigade soldiers led an arms raid in the village of Akrabania, seizing magazine clips, ammunition, and firearms part.

Security forces seized M-16 rifles and locally made Karl Gustav firearms in the village of Harbata Abu Laham.

In separate raids, the IDF arrested 13 wanted security suspects overnight.
