Security forces on Monday arrested a 16-year-old suspect after rocks were throw toward Border Police officer at Jerusalem's Mount of Olives.

Tensions were high in the capital during the Jewish New Year as police and Palestinians clashed at the Temple Mount compound on Sunday before the holy site was reopened to Jewish visitors on Monday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for an emergency ministerial meeting to consider tougher penalties for stone throwing to convene Tuesday night after the Rosh Hashana holiday concludes.
