Security forces have uncovered a vast Hamas terror infrastructure in the West Bank city of Nablus and the surrounding villages, the Shin Bet announced on Wednesday.

The heads of the terror network, who served as regional field commanders, acted to renew Hamas terror activities in the West Bank, according to the Shin Bet.

A Hamas military cell was also uncovered during the investigation. The cell was planning terror attacks that were thwarted as part of the probe, with some 40 terror operatives being arrested, including senior Hamas officials.
