A senior Hezbollah commander was killed on Saturday from wounds suffered while fighting in Syria.

Al-Arabiya reported that he was a senior Hezbollah commander.

The funeral of Ali Shabib Mahmoud (Abu Tareb al-Rouis), “the martyr leader” was reported with pictures and a video on the wouthlebanon.org website.

The website did not give any details about how he died.

“The martyr passed away while doing his duty on a holy jihad,” stated the website.
