Seven combat troops from the IDF's elite Maglan unit have been sentenced to 10 days military incarceration for smoking hookah pipes (nargila), Army Radio reported Monday morning.
The seven were caught last Thursday smoking in a thicket near their base while they were supposed to be on call.
Two of the soldiers were planning to start officers course, and the incident risks their future in the IDF, according to the report.
Although the army permits the smoking of cigarettes, nargila is banned.
