Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked visited Israeli communities bordering the Gaza Strip today that have suffered from incendiary kites and balloons launched from the nearby Palestinian coastal enclave, a statement released by Shaked's office said. 'Incendiary kites are no less serious than mortars; the response to a kite in the Gaza border region must be the same as the response to a missile fired at Ashkelon,' Shaked said. 'The government must hit back with an iron fist against those launching incendiary kites and terrorists.' 'Even a child's daily chores, such as taking the dogs out for a walk, has become an impossible mission,' she said. Shaked toured fields that had burned as a result of incendiary kites launched from Gaza, as well as a neutralized Hamas terror tunnel that penetrates Israeli territory.
