Shaked: Israel needs a full-time defense minister

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to keep the defense portfolio is reflective of the fact that Israel needs a full-time defense minister. Shaked spoke at the Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference on Wednesday.
"The job of a prime minister is the most demanding job in the country," said Shaked. "What the prime minister needs is a strong defense minister by his side, a full-time defense minister."
When asked about her role and goals at the ministry, Shaked said that she's "trying to push the judicial system to be more conservative and less activist."
"I want to shift the judicial court to the conservative path," she said.
