Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom on Monday said that the country is in the midst of a struggle to keep Jerusalem undivided, and said it is necessary to continue Judaizing the capital, Israel Radio reported.

During a tour of the Maaleh Zeitim neighborhood in East Jerusalem, Shalom said that the construction boom will deepen "our hold" over Jerusalem and will allow the government to resolve the issue of rising real-estate prices.
