Shalom in Hebron: Building freeze inappropriate

Attending a rally in support of the settlements at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Monday, Vice Premier and Regional Development Minister Silvan Shalom said that "the building moratorium was inappropriate" and that no previous prime minister had demanded such a move in the past, Israel Radio reported.
After his speech, Shalom added that  "we need to continue conducting the negotiations. If as a result of the building, the Palestinians leave the negotiations -- that is just an excuse to me."
