Negotiating teams from the Likud and Shas parties came to a coalition agreement on Monday evening ahead of the May 6 deadline for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to form a government. 

Arye Deri, the head of the Shas faction, will serve as the economics minister as well as minister of religious services. The party will also receive the ministry for the development of the Negev and Galilee and two deputy minister positions.
