The Tel Aviv District Court sentenced Salomon Shemchayev on Sunday to 10.5 years in prison for the attempted murder of a man outside a Tel Aviv nightclub in September 2010.

The sentence was given after Shemchayev confessed and was convicted in a plea bargain.

According to the ruling, Shemchayev shot the man in the head from short range with full intention of killing him, but the man’s life was saved by doctors who managed to remove the bullet from his skull.
