In a joint IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Service) operation Saturday morning, security forces arrested a Hamas activist near the West Bank city of Jenin in connection with a 2010 terror attack.

Islam Hamis, suspected of carrying out a shooting attack in 2010 which wounded two Israelis, was taken into custody Saturday morning after being released from a Palestinian prison earlier this year.

"The Palestinian Authority's handling" and releasing of Hamis "is indicative of the weakness of the Palestinian judicial system" according to a statement released by Shin Bet.
