Police arrested a resident of Kafr Qara overnight and seized an illegal "Carlo" rifle, the police spokesman unit announced Monday.
 
A resident in his 30s was arrested for firing in the air during a birthday party in the mostly Israeli-Arab populated community neat Haifa.


Responding to a call, police forces located the suspect and arrested him. He was brought to the Magistrate's Court in Hadera and his detention was extended until Wednesday.
The illegally made Carl Gustav style sub-machine gun was transferred to the forensic lab for investigation.


Kafr Qara, with a population of 18,313 mostly Arab-Muslim Israelis held the highest record for doctors relative to population size in the country in 2007.
