Six members of the Egyptian security forces were killed and several others injured in a series of attacks at checkpoints at the city of El Arish in the northern Sinai Peninsula, Ynet reported on Tuesday night.

The Arabic-language Sky News reported that at least two terrorists with explosive belts had been neutralized and that seven terrorists had been killed in the clashes with security forces. No organization claimed responsibility for the attacks.
