Soldiers on Gaza border hear shots fired; no injuries

Soldiers patrolling the border with southern Gaza heard shots fired in their area on Tuesday night, raising suspicions of an attempted shooting attack.

There were no injuries or damages in the incident, which occurred near Kissufim. Security forces are investigating the incident, an army spokeswoman said.

Last week, a Defense Ministry employee was shot dead in a Palestinian sniper attack, triggering military strikes on Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets.
