Spanish authorities have seized 267 kilograms (588 pounds) of cocaine from Colombia that was headed to Israel, local media reported Tuesday.

According to Spanish daily El Mundo, the bust occurred in the Bay of Gibraltar port city of Algeciras. Authorities uncovered the illegal narcotics destined for Tel Aviv hidden in shipments declared as charcoal that had been postmarked from the Colombian city of Medallin.
