State indicts Ramat Hasharon masseur for rape of patient

The Central District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday filed an indictment with the Lod District Court against Clalit masseur Yitzhak Ganon for allegedly raping and sexually assaulting a patient in Kfar Saba.
Ganon, 58, and a resident of Ramat Hasharon, had provided the victim, whose name is under gag order, four massage treatments over the last six weeks.
The indictment stated that the victim had complained of back pains and been referred by Clalit Health Services to Ganon for treatment.
On October 14, noted the indictment, in the middle of another back treatment, Ganon forcibly removed the victim’s underpants against her will and repeatedly sexually assaulted her and perpetrated indecent acts against her.
Next, Ganon allegedly kissed the victim and returned her underpants to her, with her responding “what are you doing?” Ganon did not respond and continued on with the standard aspects of the back massage, according to the indictment.
At the end of the appointment, the woman left physically and emotionally traumatized.
The prosecution asked for Ganon to be remanded to state custody until the end of the proceedings against him.
