Border Police and officers from the Rahat police station launched a raid in the Beduin town of Rahat again this week, seizing two Uzi sub-machine guns and ammunition.

Police believe the firearms originated from a security company which declared bankruptcy, and was held illegally by former employees of the company. Rahat has been the scene of several lethal armed disputes in recent months between families and clans.
