BLOOMINGTON, Indiana — Indiana University police on Tuesday said they have identified a suspect in one of a series of acts of anti-Jewish vandalism in the college town of Bloomington.

Campus police said that 54-year-old Mark Zacharias of Ellettsville is wanted on a criminal mischief charge.

The school said he's suspected in vandalism that happened Nov. 30 at Goodbody Hall, which houses the university's Jewish studies program.

There's no phone listing for Zacharias in Ellettsville.

Police said they've been investigating five suspected anti-Semitic incidents in Bloomington, including rocks thrown through windows at the Chabad House and the Hillel Center. At Goodbody Hall, someone used a rock to break the glass of an information board.

In another case, someone took Hebrew texts from library shelves and urinated on them.
