A sixteen-year-old teenage girl in the West Bank settlement of Kochav Ya'akov was lightly wounded on Saturday morning by a stray bullet believed to be fired from one of the Palestinian villages in the area, the IDF confirmed.

The bullet hit the girl in the lower body and security forces were searching the area for the source of the gunfire, the IDF said.

Magen David Adom evacuated the girl to hospital in Jerusalem.
