Syrian President Bashar Assad issued a law on Tuesday to jail and fine any individual who illegally enters the country, state news agency SANA reported. According to the report, the law stipulates a prison sentence of five to ten years for perpetrators of the legislation, instead of or on top of a fine of SYP 5 to 10 million.
