An arms shipment from the US could make a 'real difference' Syrian National Council representative Najib Ghadban said in an interview with Al-Jazeera.

"They can in fact make a difference immediately," Ghadban exclaimed, "to stop this offense by Iran, Hezbollah and Assad."Ghadban's comments are a response to a declaration from Deputy National Security Advisor For Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes, that America is ready to help arm the Syrian rebels after deciding that Abbas has indeed utilized chemical weapons.

However Ghadban hopes that America reacts quickly to avoid allowing a prolonged conflict, "I think this is going to take more than just delivering weapons and the sooner they (the Obama administration) move, they are more likely to contribute to ending this conflict with the least cost."
