TV: Syrian prime minister survives bomb attack

BEIRUT - Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halki survived a bomb attack that targeted his convoy in central Damascus on Monday, according to a television channel run by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which is close to President Bashar Assad.
Syria's state television had earlier reported that a "terrorist explosion" in the capital's Mezze district had caused casualties.
