Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen will transit through the United States this month on a tour of diplomatic allies in the Caribbean, Deputy Taiwan Foreign Minister Miguel Tsao said on Monday.

China's Foreign Ministry said  the United States should not allow President Ing-wen to transit through the country en route to the Caribbean. Tsai will visit St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, and Haiti on the July 11-22 trip, Tsao told reporters.
