Texas police officer fatally shot during traffic stop

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A San Antonio Police police officer was shot and killed on Sunday while sitting in a squad car during a routine traffic stop outside the Texas city's police headquarters.

While the officer was writing a traffic ticket, a second vehicle pulled up behind the patrol car, the driver exited and fired shots into the squad car, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.
