Three missing during hike in West Bank

A father and his two sons, aged 12 and 14, went missing while hiking in a valley in the West Bank, Israel Police reported Friday.

They were last seen Thursday morning at the beginning of the Nahal Darga hiking trail, east of Bethlehem and not far from the Dead Sea.

Search teams, including one by helicopter, have begun scoping the area. One search team in the valley attempted to locate the group by tracking down a signal from the family's mobile phone. So far, vocal identification attempts in the valley have gone unanswered, however.
