The three Israeli wounded in a shooting attack at a checkpoint near Bet El in the West Bank on Sunday morning were IDF soldiers, the military later announced.

The military has notified the families of the victims in the shooting carried out by a Palestinian Authority police officer. Security forces shot dead the assailant.

Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated the three wounded soldiers to Jerusalem hospitals; one in serious condition, one in moderate-to serious condition, and a third in light condition with a gunshot wound in a limb.
