"We won't recognize a Jewish and Zionist Israel despite [MK Zevulun] Orlev's law, even if we pay a personal price," MK Ahmed Tibi said Wednesday in response to a bill proposed by MK Orlev which would mandate the imprisonment of anyone who calls for the end of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state. "This coalition will end up proposing the Bill Against Being Shocked by the Occupation, which will carry a prison term of five years for anyone who expresses such shock," Tibi said.
