MK Ahmed Tibi (UAL-Ta'al) on Monday afternoon called on the US to apply pressure on Israel to designate a fifth of the foreign aid to the Arab sector. Tibi handed a letter with the request to former US president Jimmy Carter in a meeting in east Jerusalem. The MK said that he also gave Carter a document describing the hardship of Israeli Arabs and the ongoing alleged discrimination against them. Carter is touring the region with a delegation of former heads of state who are meeting Middle East leaders, Israel Radio reported.
