Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had a "robust exchange" with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown during a telephone conversation this week ahead of the UN Human Rights Council session on the Goldstone Commission's report into the IDF's Operation Cast Lead, which alleges Israel committed war crimes in Gaza last winter, the Times reported Friday. According to the British newspaper, Netanyahu urged Brown to oppose the UNHRC resolution endorsing the report, saying that it could "derail the peace process," while the British prime minister said Israel "could avoid censure if it held its own inquiry into the Gaza offensive."
