Top US commander: Iran still supporting Iraq attacks

The top US military commander in Iraq said Tuesday that Iran still supported and trained terrorists who carry out attacks - mostly with mortars and sophisticated roadside bombs - inside Iraq. Speaking at his base outside of Baghdad, as Iraqi forces took control of security in the Iraqi capital and other urban areas, Gen. Ray Odierno said the attacks had decreased but were still a problem. Odiero says Teheran was "still supporting, funding and training surrogates inside Iraq" and that he believed "many of the attacks in Baghdad are in fact done by individuals supported by Iran."
