Police sought a remand extension Wednesday for a Torah studies teacher arrested Tuesday on suspicion he sexually assaulted two teenage girls. Ayal Bushari, a 40-year-old Petah Tikva resident, was also accused of physically assaulting the girls' 15-year-old brother. The suspect has denied the sexual assault charges, but reportedly told police he used physical violence against the teenage boy as an "educational" exercise meant to cleanse him of his sins. However, both sides agreed to postpone the remand hearing until Thursday.
