Turkel Commission asks Turkish Embassy for witness list

The Turkel Commission of Investigation into the May 31 flotilla incident has asked the Turkish embassy to provide a list of names of Turkish citizens who were aboard the Mavi Marmara when it was seized by IDF naval commandos who would be willing to testify before the panel.

The commission wrote to First Counselor Tolga Uncu saying it would be prepared to consider inviting any of those listed to testify before it and that it would also consider collecting evidence from any eye witness who came forward voluntarily and offered to testify.
