Turkish police kill suspected Islamic State suicide bomber

ISTANBUL - Turkish police killed an Islamic State militant who was believed to be preparing to carry out a suicide bombing, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Wednesday.

He was killed in a gunfight after opening fire in response to a police call to surrender in a police operation on the ninth floor of a building on the outskirts of the Turkish capital Ankara, it said.
