Turkish soldier killed in clashes near Syria's Afrin region

ANKARA - A Turkish soldier was killed in clashes in Turkey's border province of Kilis, near Syria's Afrin region, the Turkish Armed Forces said in a statement on Monday.

Turkey launched a military operation on Saturday with rebel allies against a U.S.-backed Kurdish militia in Syria's Afrin region.
