Two Canadians, filmmaker and doctor, arrested in Egypt

Two Canadians have been arrested in Egypt, AFP reported on Monday.
"The Government of Canada is very concerned that two Canadian citizens have been arrested in Egypt," the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Lynne Yelich reportedly said in a statement.
Canadian media outlet CTV news identified the pair as John Greyson, a Toronto filmmaker and university professor, and Tarek Loubani, a doctor from London, Ontario. According to AFP, Yelich cited requesting information from a senior Egyptian official regarding the nature of the charges and status of evidence in the case.
AFP reported that the men had tried to enter Gaza, where Greyson was wanted to film a documentary and Loubani wanted to help train local doctors, but were turned back at the Gaza border and arrested in Cairo.
