A terror attack in North Sinai killed two police conscripts and injured 16 others, Egyptian media reported Saturday.

According to a statement released by the interior ministry, a IED (improvised explosive device) detonated when security forces drove passed a road in Al-Arish.

The ISIS affiliated group Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis took responsibility for the incident, publishing a statement on social media networks shortly after the attack.
