Two bombs kill 16 people in Iraq Shi'ite city

HILLA - Two bombs exploded near a restaurant in the majority Shi'ite Muslim city of Hilla in southern Iraq on Thursday, killing 16 people, police and hospital sources said.
Scores were wounded in the blasts, which struck during the holy month of Ashura, of special significance to Shi'ites who are often targeted by al-Qaida's Iraqi affiliate and other Sunni Muslim insurgents.
