Two men were gunned down in a drive-by shooting in broad daylight in Petah Tikvah on Thursday afternoon, in what police are investigating as a possible gangland hit.

Mid-day on Thursday, paramedics responding to report of gunfire found two men in their forties lying mortally wounded on the pavement on Mishmar Hayarden street, a small residential street in the city. The two men were ruled dead at the scene while a third was taken to Beilinson with moderate to serious wounds.

Police said one of the man is known to authorities, and that officers are combing the area in an attempt to find the shooters.
