A man in his late twenties was shot dead and another man badly wounded in a drive-by shooting in Hadera on Thursday evening.

The two were walking on Hilel Yafeh street in the city when they were shot by an assailant on a passing motorcycle. The shooter has not been caught, Coastal District police said.

Both of the men - including the 48-year-old who was badly injured - are known to police from previous investigations and the background to the shooting was criminal.
