A vehicle struck and seriously injured two pedestrians on Yefet Street in Jaffa on Friday evening before fleeing the scene.

MDA paramedics said they treated an approximately 40-year old man in serious condition with a head wound and a woman in moderate-to-serious condition with a head wound who was semi-conscious. The injured man was evacuated to Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv while the woman was taken to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon.

Police were searching the area for the offending vehicle, which they described as a Mazda.
