The truck driver transported the child to a clinic in Lod in critical condition but efforts to resuscitate her were unsuccesful.

Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Shortly afterward on Tuesday, a 19-year-old was killed in a head-on collision on Route 77 near the entrance to Kafr Kana in the Lower Galilee.
