The British parliament's vote on Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal will go ahead as planned on Dec. 11, the leader of the House of Commons, Andrea Leadsom, said on Thursday.

The odds look stacked against May's government winning the vote and The Times newspaper reported senior ministers were urging May to delay the vote out of concern that she risked a defeat so big it could bring down her government.
